 I know it has been too long, but these last 4 months have been crazy.

Although my husband and I don't have children of our own, he has two from a previous relationship.  Back in october they came to live with us full time.  This has been an extreme learning curve for me.  I went from controlling my own schedule to being controlled by their schedule. Please don't misunderstand, they are great kids, I just wasn't prepared.  So I could use some advice:

How do you juggle it all (work, school, home, activities)?
When do you start to feel in control again?
How many personalities do kids have?
HOW do you help the kids deal with the emotions of having an absent parent?

My husband is a great father and I am learning as fast as I can.  If anyone out there can shed some light or just share that would be wonderful.  My husband and I discuss everything, but sometimes you need to talk to someone outside.

Advice, comments and insight not only welcomed but desired!!!

Subject:	tattoo or not to tattoo?

 Ok so it has been too long since my last entry.  The remodel from hell is over (beautiful in the end) and we have been busy with other projects around the house.

For a couple of years now I've been wanting a tattoo but the decisions are endless.  Where (that decision is determined on many levels), what, size and the biggest decision is who should do it.  There are several artists in this area, but how do you shop for an artist?  Any advice is welcome!!  I want it to be pretty, dynamtic and to represent me.  That should be easy enough, LOL!

Subject:	Yeah for Weekends!

As I am always thankful for weekends, this week was no exception.  This week was long and crazy.  I'm not sure where all the customers came from (I kept looking for buses in our parking area).  This week will certainly help our numbers for the quarter!!!  Unfortunately work was about exciting as my week got, pretty sad.

This weekend is a weekend of races (4 hours on speedTV).  Nicky is showing strong for Sunday (front line of grid!!!), and I can't wait to see another battle between Spies and Mladin. Happy Riding!

I am and avid reader, to the frustration of my husband.  I tend to block out everything to get to the end.  I finished the latest Harry Potter (huge fan) and in the end I guess I was disappointed.  The story was great, I was hooked right to the end but when I finished that last page something was missing.  Maybe I wanted something different?  I can't even put a finger on what was missing.  My husband has always accused me of reading so fast that I miss the fine details.  So maybe that is the answer, me not the book.  Try again, or let it go?  Something to think about!

Well I can't say that the last 2 weeks have been dull.  Home remodeling (never fun!), personnel changes at work (being the boss is fun right?) and back on the motorcycle. 

We decided to remodel a room in our house which sounded good in the beginning.  My husband and I agree on so many things who would have thought that what color of tile to use would require negotiation.  Well, we are half way done (agreed on tile finally), in current negotiations over furniture.  I've decide the next home improvement project is going to start with deep negotiations over which contractor to use and where to go while they do all the work!

Work - It is sort of like being in charge of a person diagnosed with multiple personalities.  Which one will show up at work, will the others let them do their job or my favorite arguing amongst themselves.  Like all patients we have good days and bad days, this week classifies as less than perfect.  Pull in one personallity to discuss their behavior, pull in another to discuss the attitude!  "Boss/Mom/Counselor" that is what should be printed on my business card.  Don't gt me wrong, I enjoy my job greatly, but this last week was trying.  My husband says thats why I get paid "the big money", that alone made me laugh. I mean really has he seen my paychecks!!

My Motorcycle - Got back on it at Motogp (first time in months) and it was freeing.  My husband and I ride to relax and get away.  I can't hear the phone ring, can't receive a fax, only have to negotiate turns (not personalities) and in no way shape or form can I think about what project needs to be done next!

Well the time of year is upon us motorcycle fans to decend on the US Motogp. We are already to go, both bikes are going with us this time! Putting aside all issues at work and letting the racers fly by us is my idea of a great weekend.  I can't wait to leave and start the trip. 

My heart is with Nicky this season and we are keeping our fingers crossed for Laguna.  I have to say he is my favorite rider, not because he is from the US, but because no matter how crappy he got treated by Honda (and I can't even describe that disappointment), he always took the high road.

Saturday couldn't get here fast enough this week.  Apparently there is not enough of me to go around.  Should I feel appreciated or frustrated that my staff can't pick up the ball and run?  The goal - start fresh next week and build up the cross -training!!!

So, what is the saying "long time listener, first time caller".  That pretty much describes me.  I have been an active reader of LJ for some time and finally decided to join in.  I hope to hear from other friends and become far more than just a viewer!
